Northwind was awarded a task order to complete bridge painting on the Wolf Creek Dam Superstructure Bridge in Jamestown, KY. Scope of work includes the cleaning, preparation, and painting of bearings and piers.

TAMP Interim Remedial Action - Award

Northwind-Cornerstone JV was awarded a task order through the USACE Savannah District for Tarheel Army Missile Plant (TAMP) in Burlington, NC. We were tasked to provide interim remedial action to limit migration of contamination and to control potential impacts to receptors as identified by our team. Requested services also include the development of a Feasibility Study to select final remedies for impacted soil and groundwater beneath the site.

Anodyne Superfund Site Remedial Action - Award

Northwind-Jacobs JV was awarded a task order through the USACE Jacksonville District to complete remediation work on the Anodyne Superfund Site in Miami Gardens, FL. This project will include surveying, installation of monitoring wells, and groundwater sampling/reporting. The JV will also be installing bioremediation injection wells and properly managing/disposing of Investigation Derived Waste.

USP Battery Maintenance - Award

September 26, 2022

 

Northwind-Jacobs JV was awarded a task order through the USACE Savannah District to provide annual maintenance of batteries in bases in Georgia. We will be preform prevention and annual UPS maintenance at Fort Detrick, Bragg, and Belvoir. Northwind will also be replacing batteries in buildings on the bases. 

Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport PFAS RI - Award

Northwind-Jacobs JV was awarded a task order through the USACE Savannah District to preform a remedial investigation to test for PFAS in surface and subsurface soil. We will map out the areas of contamination and determine where the run off ends.

West Fork Lake Bridge - Award

Northwind-Cornerstone JV was awarded a task order through the USACE Louisville to repair the West Fork Lake Bridge concrete abutment. Tasks of this project include construction and concrete patching to the bridge. 

US Forest Service Region 9 Road Repair - Award

Northwind was awarded a task order through the USFS to do various road maintenance and repairs to the Monday Creek Trail system in Wayne National Forest. We were tasked with the reconstruction of damages due to human or natural causes along with improving the trail quality and safety for visitors.

McAlpine Bridge Repair - Award

Northwind Cornerstone was awarded a task order through USACE Louisville District to repair the existing bridge located in McAlpine Lock and Dam, Louisville Kentucky. The requirements for this project were to rehibilitate the concrete structure to the desired condition to eliminate the risk of structural collapse. 

Cannelton Lock and Dam Auxiliary Arm Replacement - Award

Northwind Cornerstone was awarded a task order through USACE Louisville District to complete construction services for the Cannelton Lock and Dam by replacing both the downstream and upstream anchor arm assemblies. Furthermore, we had also completed the downstream land wall miter gate pintle grease line in the auxiliary chamber.

Air National Guard Building 203 Carpet Replacement - Award

Northwind was awarded by the Air National Gaurd to perform at the Horsham Air Guard Station to replace the carpet on both the first floor and second floor. Approximately 4400 sqft of heavy traffic carpet was placed after the existing flooring was removed.

Bellevue Iowa Lock and Dam 12 Paving Repair - Award

ASI-Northwind Joint Venture was awarded a task order in Bellevue Iowa to provide Lock and Dam 12 with pavement repairs along with earthwork and concrete installation. 

Lock and Dam 16-18 Flood Repairs - Award

October 9, 2020 

ASI-Northwind was awarded a task order through USACE Rock Island District for flood damage repairs on Lock and Dams numbers 16, 17, and 18 on the Mississippi River. To remove and replace the ruined concrete, we handled the aggregate placement, asphalt sealcoat, hot mix asphalt (HMA) paving, concrete paving, riprap placement. In addition to the removal, disposal, and replacement of ruined concrete, the work also included tree removal, stripping, excavation, backfilling, compaction, storm sewer work, chain-link fence installation, pavement marking, and site restoration.

Ellsworth AFB Geotech and Surveying - Award

August 25, 2020

 

Northwind was awarded a task order through the Air National Gaurd to provide the Ellsworth Air Force Base with geotechnical and land surveying services at the site. We paved approximately 400 square feet of asphalt, and installed canopies for storage, unload station, and a new fillstand. For surveying, we used Survey-grade GPS and robotic total station survey equipment to optimum accuracies for design purposes.

Hazmat Remedial Investigation Task - Award

March 29, 2021

 

Northwind was awarded a task order through USACE Savannah District to complete a remedial investigation of existing contaminants in groundwater at the former Tarheel Army Munitions Plant in Burlington, NC. This CERCLA-regulated project will investigate existing conditions to inform future remediation strategies to contain or eliminate harmful chemicals identified on site.

Gas Line Conversion Task - Award

Northwind was awarded a task order through the PA Air National Guard to convert a gas line from liquid propane (LP) to natural gas (NG) for the 193rd Special Operations Wing in State College, PA.

5-Year Design/Build IDIQ - Award

Northwind was awarded a 5-year design/build construction IDIQ through USACE Louisville District with our joint venture partner, Cornerstone Engineering, an 8(a) firm. This contract is for design and construction throughout the USACE Great Lakes & Ohio River Valley Division.

Hangar System Upgrade Task - Award
