Northwind Engineering, LLC is now offering heavy equipment rentals ranging from excavators to tractors. In order to assist our customer's needs, we offer rental lengths in daily, weekly, and monthly packages. We are currently located in mutliple locations including St. Louis Missouri, Dover Delaware, Heilwood Pennsylvania, Harrisburg Pennsylvania, and Ironton Ohio.

NORTHWIND AWARDED WITH RHODE ISLAND IDIQ MATOC CONTRACT FOR NATIONAL GUARD!
Northwind Engineering, LLC has recently been awarded the contract for Construction IDIQ MATOC for maintenance, repair, and services at the various National Guard facilities in Rhode Island. Work will include interior and exterior renovations, heating and air-conditioning, HVAC controls, plumbing, fire suppression, interior and exterior electrical and lighting, fire and intrusion alarms, communications, limited utilities, site-work, landscaping, fencing, masonry, roofing, concrete, asphalt paving, storm drainage, limited environmental remediation, construction of new facilities, and other related work.

AIR NATIONAL GUARD CUTS RIBBON ON TWO NEW FACILITIES CONSTRUCTED BY NORTHWIND!
On September 22, 2011, the 193rd Special Operations Wing, Pennsylvania Air National Guard along with the Northwind team and Managing Member Darcia North Wind, cut the ribbon opening two new buildings which will help the 193rd continue evolving their facility to expand on their Special Operations Forces (SOF) mission.

NORTHWIND WINS SBA PITTSBURGH DISTRICT 2011 MINORITY SMALL BUSINESS OF THE YEAR AWARD
On October 7th, 2011, Northwind Engineering was awarded with the 2011 Minority Small Business Of The Year Award by the U.S. Small Business Administration Pittsburgh District Office. The award is in recognition of our outstanding performance and commitment to excellence as an entrepreneur. The award was presented at the Minority Enterprise Development Week luncheon held at the Pittsburgh Double Tree Inn. Darcia North Wind, Managing Member, accepted the award on behalf of the company.

NORTHWIND HELPING FAMILIES DISPLACED BY HURRICANE/TROPICAL STORM
On October 21st, 2011, Northwind Engineering began working for CH2M Hill on a Federal Emergency Management Agency project to develop an emergency mobile home park in Athens, Pennsylvania to house families displaced by Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee. The park will be capable of providing homes for up to 58 families with the possibility of additional homes being added. On-site personnel have been working around the clock to ensure that the homes will be ready for those in need.

NORTHWIND AWARDED WITH ROCK ISLAND PELLA CONTRACT
On October 23rd, 2011, Northwind was awarded with a contract for USACE Rock Island District Lake Red Rock in Pella, IA. Tasks include moving 22,000 cubic yards of soil. 3,000 cubic yards of borrow soil from an onsite borrow area will then need to be imported. Northwind will also be constructing an 8,000 sq foot maintenance facility. This facility will be replacing a 50 year old maintenance facility currently still being used. It will be constructed across the street from the Lake Red Rock district office.

Remediation for Westinghouse
Northwind is currently providing radioactive remediation at the Former Fuel Rod Facility. Northwind is providing construction equipment, craft labor and professional labor to facilitate the remediation efforts at the site. Northwind is also in the process of removing contaminated soils and debris and loading it into lined rail cars for offsite disposal. The craft labor is working in level C PPE during remediation efforts. This project will be a multiyear project working.

Mobile Home Park for FEMA
Northwind worked with CH2M Hill on a Federal Emergency Management Agency project to install 58 emergency mobile homes in Sayre Pennsylvania for families displaced by Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee. Major tasks included installation of a gravity sewer system, water mains, electrical services and a storm water management system. In addition, mobile home pad sites and roadbeds were constructed. On-site personnel worked around the clock to ensure that the homes were ready for those in need.

Buildings for the Air Force
Northwind was the A-E Designer and provided an in-house LEED accredited professional for the construction of MSK storage, Building 102. The DAGRE Training Facility, Building 103 was a Design-Build project. The purpose of this project was to provide professional design and construction services necessary to supply a new, complete and useable Special Operations Forces (SOF) Security Forces training facility for Air Station Middletown, Dauphin County and Pennsylvania.
