Northwind and their sister company RVFLimited
were the surface mine reclamation contractor under Prime
Contractor, Haywayrd Baker for the Wyoming Department of
Environmental Quality- Abandoned Mine Land Division. At the
Horse Creek Mine, Northwind/RVFLimited excavated approximately
26,000 cyds of C&D debris and placing the material in a
Northwind/RVFLimited constructed onsite C&D Landfill.
Northwind/RVFLimited was responsible for screening and
developing six grades of gravel and riprap from site materials
and for the closure of the sinkhole formation.
The Project designed by Morgan WorldWide and
managed by Hayward Baker, INC. had significant environmental
concerns. Northwind/RVFLimited was responsible for obtaining
the required air and mine permits for the protection of the
endangered species at the Project Site.
